1. DEFINITIONS "Copyright Holder" refers to the person that has a copyright on text or code. "Developer" is a member of the Maxscape Development Project. "User" refers to the person or company that operates a Maxscape server. "Third-party products" refers to the products that are redistributed with the Maxscape Webserver Platform, like Perl, CPAN modules, Openssl, Apache and Mariadb. "Sources" refers to the parts of the Maxscape Framework, that are not part of "third-party products" of the generic Webserver Platform, like the run-time system and the Maxscape Webserver library. 1. THIRD-PARTY PRODUCTS Third-party products have their own licenses and are therefor not subject to the Maxscape License agreement. The original source distributions of the third-party products and how they are built is described by the RPM spec files of the Maxscape Platform Build Distribution. 2. RIGHTS GRANTED TO "Users" AND "Developers" The Copyright Holders grants Users and Developers a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to modify, encrypt, execute and use the "Sources" on hardware and in environments controlled by them. 3. RIGHTS GRANTED TO "Developers" Maxscape Developers are granted to get partial or complete access to the Maxscape Sources. 4. RIGHTS GRANTED TO "Copyright Holders" The Copyright Holders expressly retain the sole and exclusive right to modify, compile, obfuscate, and encrypt the source files of the Software. The Copyright Holders are under no obligation to provide unencrypted source code, decryption keys, or uncompiled scripts to the licensee or any third party. 5. RIGHTS GRANTED AND PROHIBITED IN RESPECT OF ENCRYPTED SOURCES The Copyright Holders grant a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to decrypt, modify and use encrypted "Sources", because there is simply no way to insure that the "Sources" cannot be decypted. Redistribution of decrypted "Sources" in a readable form is prohibited, but it is allowed to distribute the encrypted form of the, maybe modified, sources. If somebody really was succesfull to decrypt the encrypted Perl sources, congratulation and please let me know how you did it. 6. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTY THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. IN NO EVENT SHALL THE COPYRIGHT HOLDER BE LIABLE FOR ANY CLAIM, DAMAGES, OR OTHER LIABILITY. Copyright (c) Dipl.-Ing. Maximilian Heinzelmann. All rights reserved.
