Perl and CPAN Modules
Perl Interpreter
There are several reasons that you might want to build your own Perl interpreter. For example, to install the latest Perl release, to install an extended set of CPAN modules or to incorporate special features, like a source code filter to encrypt the Perl sources for production systems to hide, for example, the passwords and special installation details. You can build your own Perl interpreter using Maxdaemon's RPM repository.
# Perl installation root. /opt/perl/<Perl version>
Perl CPAM Modules
The installed CPAN modules are required by the Maxscape library and the Maxdaemon HTTP server. The most important modules are FCGI, Net-SSLeay, IO-Socket-SSL, DBI/DBD, XML-Dumper and Filter-Crypto. If you need other modules for your project's requirements, add them to you installation.
